Each Fall, the UGC holds interviews for Assitant Vice President roles. These selected candidates will serve one semester in an AVP role, shadowing their respective VP or the President. The AVPs will use this opportunity to learn the businesses of the UGC, both internal and external.
In the start of the spring semester, AVPs will assume the roles of VPs and the President, forming the new UGC Executive Board. Confirmation by the Fall Leadership Team is required for this transition. The Spring E-Board members will serve 1-year terms and will interview and select new AVPs the following fall semester.

Assistant President:
Shadow the UGC President. Learn to drive the UGC agenda and advance the consulting experience for its membership. Learn to promote, improve, and well-represent the image and abilities of the UGC within the UConn community, with counterpart graduate consulting clubs, and with businesses and prospective clients. Responsible for management, coordination, and oversight of club events and policies.
Assistant Vice President, Talent Management:
Responsible for ensuring a proper fit between students’ skills/interests and project requirements. Work side-by-side with the VP of Client Development to enable pairings that will benefit both the clients and students.
Assistant Vice President, Strategy and Operations:
Shadow the VP of Strategy and Operations. Learn to maintain minutes of the meeting, arrange for meeting logistics and ensure that the meeting stays on track. Responsible for contacting the company representative and alumni. Manage UGC content and communications on the website and social media. Contribute to the general operations and smooth running of the club activities. Strategize action plans for enhancement of the club
Assistant Vice President, Marketing and Finance:
Shadow the VP of Marketing and Finance. Learn to ensure that club has exposure, online presence and well represented at recruiting events; Learn to maintain accurate and up-to-date UGC financial records. Work with members and other school officials to put on fund-raising events. Manage content and communications on the website and social media and develop and execute club outreach strategies.
Assistant Vice President, Client Relations and Development:
Shadow the VP of Client Development. Learn to manage the club’s client relationships and business development initiatives as the primary point of contact.
Assistant Vice President, Graduate Operations:
Under the guidance of the current leadership, this person acts as a bridge between the UGC and the other graduate programs running in the GBLC (MB-BAPM, MS-FRM etc). The person shall be the POC for non-MBA graduate students in answering their questions, be aware of the scheduling of non-MBA classes, help in resolving any conflict within the non-MBA members and assist other leadership members in their operations.
